What is Massage Therapy?
Massage therapy is a “hands-on” therapy that involves a variety of massage techniques ranging from a deep tissue or deep manual to gentle kneading of muscles. Typically, massage therapy is used for relaxation purposes, pain relief, or both. This therapy has the potential to enhance your physical well-being and quality of life.
Our Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) are regulated health professionals trained in the assessment and treatment of soft tissue structures such as muscle, fascia, tendon and ligaments. Our massage therapists work with patients to help alleviate their pain, tension and stress, improve range of motion, mobility, posture and overall physical function. Massage therapy also supports tissue repair and healing by increasing circulation (blood flow), bringing more oxygen and other nutrients to the tissue. Massage techniques offered by our RMTs include Swedish, deep tissue massage, myofascial release and trigger point therapy.relaxation.
